 This unique invention is a serpentine conveyor system devised for a metal smelting and molding client. Previously, their automated pour system cut-off the poured metal mold sprue where it fell to the floor to be shoveled up manually for recycling. After consulting with the client, the Quality Metal Works design team designed and completely fabricated this serpentine metal conveyor to catch the falling sprue and move it through the system to a collection hopper. This reduced time and saved materials, increasing our client's overall productivity and profitability. We continue to make replacements as the belts wear over years, and to build new units of this configuration for other of their mold machines. |
